Feeling Nervous Before My Presentation

Step 1: Understanding My Feelings

Sometimes, I feel nervous before giving a presentation. This is okay. Many people feel this way too. I can remind myself that it's normal to feel this way.


Step 2: Preparing for My Presentation

I will practice my presentation at home. I can use a mirror or ask a family member to listen. Practicing helps me feel more confident.


Step 3: Using My Calming Strategies

Before my presentation, I can take deep breaths. I will try to imagine a calm place, like a quiet park or my favorite room. This helps me feel more relaxed.


Step 4: Thinking About My Audience

My classmates and teacher want to hear what I have to say. They are interested in my presentation. I can remember that they are supportive and want me to do well.


Step 5: Starting My Presentation

When it's time to present, I will walk to the front of the room. I can look at my notes if I need to. I will try to speak clearly and slowly.


Step 6: During My Presentation

If I feel nervous, I can pause and take a deep breath. I will try to focus on sharing my ideas. I can remember that it's okay to feel a little nervous.


Step 7: After My Presentation

When I finish, I can feel proud of myself for trying my best. I will listen to any feedback and remember that I am learning and growing.
