I Can Try My Best and That’s Okay

Step 1

  • Sometimes, I feel like I have to be perfect in everything I do. This can make me feel worried or anxious. I can remember that everyone makes mistakes, and that’s okay.

Step 2

  • When I start to feel pressure to be perfect, I can take a deep breath. Breathing slowly can help me feel calm and relaxed.

Step 3

  • I will try to remind myself that doing my best is enough. I can say to myself, “I am doing my best, and that is good.”

Step 4

  • If I make a mistake, I can learn from it. Mistakes help me grow and get better. I will try to see mistakes as a chance to learn.

Step 5

  • I can talk to someone I trust, like a family member or a friend, about how I feel. They can help me feel better and remind me that I am not alone.

Step 6

  • When I feel anxious about being perfect, I can think about the things I enjoy and am good at. This can help me feel happy and confident.

Step 7

  • I will try to focus on one thing at a time. This can make tasks feel easier and less overwhelming.

Step 8

  • I can remember that everyone has different strengths and weaknesses. It’s okay to ask for help when I need it.

Step 9

  • I will try to be kind to myself, just like I am kind to others. I can say nice things to myself, like “I am proud of myself for trying.”

Step 10

  • At the end of the day, I can think about what I did well. I can feel proud of my efforts and know that I am enough just as I am.

Conclusion:

  • I am learning that I don’t have to be perfect. Trying my best is what matters most. I can feel proud of myself for working hard and being kind to myself. I am doing great, and I will keep trying my best every day.
