Mindy's Spring Break Adventure

Step 1
I am going on vacation for spring break. I will pack my favorite clothes and my special items like my headphones and a book about cooking. I can feel excited about the fun things I will do.
Step 2
When I arrive at the amusement park, there will be lots of people and sounds. I can hold my parent's hand and take deep breaths to feel calm. I will try to focus on the fun rides and games.
Step 3
I will walk around the park and see many exciting things. If I start to feel overwhelmed, I can put on my headphones to help with the noise. I will try to find a quiet spot to take a break if I need it.
Step 4
There are many rides and activities to enjoy. I can choose the ones that look fun to me. If I feel nervous, I can tell my family, and they will support me. I will try to enjoy each moment and remember to breathe deeply.
Step 5
If I feel overstimulated, I can find a calm place to sit and relax. I can read my cooking book or think about my favorite recipes. I will try to use my calming strategies to feel better.
Step 6
Other people at the park are also having fun. They might be loud because they are excited. I can remember that everyone is there to enjoy the day, just like me. I will try to be patient and kind.
